The food and travel guide TasteAtlas has released its list of the top 50 egg
dishes worldwide.
India's masala omelette made it onto the list, securing the 22nd spot. While,
Japan's Ajitsuke
Tamago has been crowned the best egg dish. Masala omelette is a popular
breakfast dish in India,
typically served with bread or pav. Eggs are widely consumed across the globe
and feature in a variety
of dishes, ranging from breakfast to desserts. Masala omelette is a traditional
Indian dish with onions,
green chillies, coriander, chilli powder, and turmeric powder. The top-ranked
dish, Ajitsuke Tamago,
is a traditional Japanese delicacy made with soft boiled eggs soaked in mirin
and soy sauce.
These eggs are often enjoyed as a snack, included in bento boxes, or served as a
topping for ramen.
Tortang Talong follows it, ranked the second-best egg dish in the world. The
list of the 50 best egg
dishes has sparked interest among food enthusiasts, show casing iconic egg-based
delicacies that are
relished across the globe.
