IPEMA Supports VIP’s 7th Annual General Meeting
September 14, 2025 | PuneIPEMA proudly extended its sponsorship support to the 7th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Vets In Poultry (VIP), held on 14th September 2025. The AGM brought together distinguished veterinarians, poultry scientists, and industry experts to discuss emerging health challenges and innovations in poultry medicine. As a supporting partner, IPEMA reinforced its commitment to knowledge exchange and veterinary collaboration—an integral aspect of strengthening India’s poultry health ecosystem.
IPEMA–Poultry India Participates in the National Dialogue on Driving India’s Water Buffalo and Poultry Meat Exports

IPEMA–Poultry India was privileged to represent the poultry industry at the National Dialogue on Driving India’s Water Buffalo and Poultry Meat Exports: Policy Reforms and Ecosystem Development, organized by ICAR–NMRI, Hyderabad. The event brought together policymakers, industry leaders, and researchers to discuss policy reforms and trade strategies aimed at strengthening India’s global meat export competitiveness. As Co-Chair of the Poultry Meat Export Readiness Dialogue, Mr. Uday Singh Bayas emphasized the significance of such collaborative platforms in bridging the gap between policy and industry realities. He shared insights on Poultry India’s “One-Nation-One-Expo” vision for Viksit Bharat, reinforcing the expo’s role as the sector’s unifying and transformative platform. He also extended an invitation to all participants to join the 17th edition of Poultry India Expo 2025, South Asia’s largest poultry exhibition.
IPEMA Supports Smart Poultry 4.0 – IPR Knowledge Review Seminar

In collaboration with the Karnataka Poultry Farmers & Breeders Association (KPFBA) and Indian Poultry Review, IPEMA proudly supported the Smart Poultry 4.0 Seminar held in Bangalore. Mr. Uday Singh Bayas, President of IPEMA–Poultry India, addressed the gathering, highlighting the technological transformation of the poultry sector and the vital role of digital innovation. He also extended a personal invitation to all dignitaries and participants to attend the 17th Poultry India Expo 2025.
IPEMA–Poultry India Extends Support to Technical Seminar on Poultry Sector Development & Avian Influenza Control

IPEMA–Poultry India lent its support to a pivotal Technical Seminar on “Indian Poultry Sector: Scientific Perspectives on Growth and Avian Influenza Control Strategies,” jointly organized by IPSA–Hyderabad Chapter and the Department of Poultry Science, College of Veterinary Science, Rajendranagar (PVNRTVU). Graced by Prof. Gyan Prakash and leading scientists from ICAR-DPR, the event witnessed vibrant participation from researchers, faculty, and industry leaders. Mr. Uday Singh Bayas emphasized the importance of industry–academia–farmer collaboration to drive the nation’s poultry sector toward sustainability, biosecurity, and rural empowerment.
IPEMA–Poultry India Holds Its 18th Annual General Meeting

The 18th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of IPEMA–Poultry India was successfully held under the chairmanship of Mr. Chakradar Rao, bringing together members to review the year’s milestones and plan the roadmap ahead. Mr. Uday Singh Bayas highlighted IPEMA’s leadership in national and international initiatives, from major conferences and technical seminars to media collaborations and policy engagement. The AGM featured the unveiling of the 17th Poultry India Expo 2025 memento by Ms. Jasvinder Kaur of Karamsar Poultry Pvt. Ltd., Delhi, symbolizing innovation and progress. The current office bearers were re-elected, reaffirming confidence in their leadership: Mr. Uday Singh Bayas – President, Mr. Natarajan Ramasamy – Secretary, Mr. M. Srikanth – Treasurer, and Mr. Shripad Ketkar – Joint Secretary.
Tribute to a Legend – Late Shri Nissar Ahmed (26 May 1945 – 17 September 2025)
With profound grief and deep respect, we remember Late Shri Nissar Ahmed, Honorary Trustee of IPEMA–Poultry India, and Managing Director of Azra Poultry Equipment, Bangalore, who passed away on 17th September 2025 at the age of 80. A true pioneer and visionary entrepreneur, Shri Nissar Ahmed dedicated over six decades to the Indian poultry industry. As the founder of Azra’s Poultry Equipment, he revolutionized poultry housing by introducing battery cages for layers and breeders in open-house systems—an innovation that continues to define poultry production standards across India.
His fearless leadership, integrity, and contribution to industrial reforms were unmatched. He fought courageously for fair regulation, even taking a landmark case to the Supreme Court of India that benefited the entire poultry equipment sector. He was a man of humility and generosity, sharing his expertise freely and urging farmers to nurture their flocks with care and passion.
In recognition of his lifelong service, IPEMA–Poultry India conferred upon him the “Legend – Poultry India” Award at the 14th Poultry India Expo in 2022. Even at 80, he remained devoted to innovation, working on the next generation of broiler cages—a true testament to his enduring spirit. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, especially Mr. Shakir Ahmed and Mr. Zakir Ahmed, and celebrate a legacy that continues to inspire generations.
