International Egg Commission Rebrands as World Egg Organisation

In a significant move to modernize its image and reinforce its global presence, the International Egg Commission (IEC) has officially rebranded as the World Egg Organisation (WEO) in January 2025. This transformation, announced by the organisation, marks a key milestone in its long-standing commitment to supporting and promoting the global egg industry.

A New Chapter for the Global Egg Industry
Established in 1964, the IEC has played a pivotal role in connecting stakeholders across the egg sector, offering insights into production, nutrition, and marketing. With this rebrand, the WEO aims to further strengthen its mission of nourishing the world through collaboration and inspiration.

“This rebrand to the World Egg Organisation represents more than a name change,” said Juan Felipe Montoya Muñoz, WEO Chair. “It is a renewed vision of our role as the united voice for the global egg industry, driven by a clear mission: to nourish the world through collaboration and inspiration.”

Strengthening Global Presence and Industry Growth
The transition to the World Egg Organisation aligns with the organisation’s vision to evolve alongside the ever-changing global egg industry. The updated name and identity are designed to enhance international partnerships, promote industry-wide growth, and accelerate global egg consumption.

“This rebrand provides a platform to better support our members and their businesses as they navigate challenges and opportunities in today’s evolving landscape,” added Montoya Muñoz. “It presents new opportunities for collaboration and industry innovation.”

A Fresh Look, Same Commitment
As part of the rebrand, the WEO has unveiled an updated visual identity, including a new logo that reflects its core values. Despite these changes, the organisation will continue to deliver its existing programmes and services, including its acclaimed conferences, which have been instrumental in sharing industry insights and best practices.

The WEO’s commitment to its members remains unwavering. “Our members’ ongoing support has been pivotal in reaching this milestone, and we are excited for you all to join us on this new chapter,” Montoya Muñoz concluded.

With this transformation, the World Egg Organisation reaffirms its dedication to championing the egg industry worldwide, ensuring a prosperous and sustainable future for all stakeholders.
