Dear Esteemed Members, Partners, and Poultry Professionals,
April 2026 was a landmark month for us at IPEMA-Poultry India, marked by impactful collaborations, global outreach, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and meaningful engagements aimed at strengthening the poultry and livestock ecosystem across India and beyond.
From the successful Uttar Pradesh Poultry Conclave 2026 to celebrating World Veterinary Day and expanding international partnerships at NIPOLI Expo 2026 in Nigeria, the month reflected our collective commitment towards innovation, sustainability, rural empowerment, and global industry cooperation.
Here is a concise overview of the key highlights from April 2026:
Uttar Pradesh Poultry Conclave 2026 - a Grand Success
"Poultry to Progress" Drives Growth, Sustainability & Rural Empowerment
The Uttar Pradesh Poultry Conclave 2026, jointly hosted by the Department of Animal Husbandry, Government of Uttar Pradesh, and supported by IPEMA-Poultry India, concluded successfully at Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lucknow.
Centered around the theme "Poultry to Progress," the conclave witnessed participation from over 2500+ stakeholders, including policymakers, scientists, veterinarians, entrepreneurs, farmers, and industry leaders, reaffirming Uttar Pradesh's emergence as a major poultry growth hub.
The conclave featured technical sessions on financing, market linkages, policy support, sustainability, antibiotic-free production, poultry waste management, and backyard poultry development, while also highlighting the official Curtain Raiser of the 18th edition of Poultry India Expo 2026.
The event reinforced the importance of integrated approaches involving innovation, sustainability, digital adoption, disease management, and skill development for long-term sectoral growth.
I strongly believe that the grand success of the Uttar Pradesh Poultry Conclave 2026 will pave the way for organizing many more such poultry conclaves across various states of India, further accelerating the growth, awareness, sustainability, and global competitiveness of the Indian poultry sector and beyond.
IPEMA-Poultry India Celebrates World Veterinary Day 2026
In Collaboration with Department of Poultry Science, CVSc Rajendranagar
IPEMA-Poultry India proudly participated in the World Veterinary Day 2026 celebrations organized in collaboration with the Department of Poultry Science, College of Veterinary Science (CVSc), Rajendranagar, Hyderabad.
The event revolved around the theme "Veterinarians: Guardians of Food and Health," highlighting the indispensable role of veterinarians in ensuring food safety, public health, scientific awareness, and sustainable poultry production.
I emphasized the importance of strengthening academia-industry collaboration, bridging awareness gaps surrounding poultry nutrition, and encouraging students to contribute actively towards the future of the poultry sector.
As part of the initiative, we announced cash rewards and prizes for the top five winners of the elocution competition themed "Poultry Products and Lifestyle Diseases: Myths, Facts, and Veterinary Insights."
The technical sessions featured valuable insights from industry experts on poultry opportunities, entrepreneurship, consulting services, and future career pathways for students.
World Veterinary Day Awareness Initiative
On the occasion of World Veterinary Day, we at IPEMA-Poultry India extended warm greetings to the entire veterinary fraternity for their invaluable contribution to food safety, animal health, and national well-being.
A landmark national press conference organized in New Delhi by Vets in Poultry (VIP) on the eve of World Veterinary Day brought together industry leaders and experts to address "Poultry Myths: Fiction vs Facts," reinforcing eggs and chicken as essential, affordable, and scientifically supported protein sources.
Addressing the gathering, I highlighted the critical role of the poultry sector in strengthening India's food security and emphasized the need for collective efforts to counter misinformation and promote scientific awareness.
The conference witnessed strong participation from veterinarians, poultry experts, and media representatives, with over 235+ myths identified and scientifically addressed, marking a significant step toward informed consumption and public awareness.
The initiative reflected the industry's united commitment to champion science, promote awareness, and strengthen the future of poultry and nutrition security in India.

IPEMA-Poultry India marked a successful international presence at NIPOLI Expo 2026 held in Ibadan, Nigeria, further strengthening global partnerships and trade collaborations within the poultry and livestock sector.
Led by me, the delegation actively engaged with international stakeholders, policymakers, agribusiness leaders, veterinarians, researchers, and investors, showcasing India's growing capabilities in poultry equipment manufacturing, technology, and innovation.
Our participation reinforced India's position as a trusted global partner in poultry technology, innovation, and livestock sector development while opening new pathways for international collaboration and business growth.
