Saudi Arabia: Self-Sufficiency in Table Egg Production

Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has announced that the kingdom's poultry sector has achieved 100% self-sufficiency in table egg production, with output reaching around 8 billion eggs in 2024. Eggs are a staple of daily meals and widely used in pastries, pies and other dishes, and the ministry highlighted its work to enhance food quality, ensure safety standards and maintain a stable market supply — strengthening national food security in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
