With summer impact likely to continue in the coming days, poultry farmers are asked to ensure water management for birds.
Forecast — Cloudy with Summer Showers
A press release from Agromet Field Unit of Veterinary College and Research Institute and Regional Meteorological Centre said that sky is expected to remain cloudy with chance of summer showers in the next two days.
Maximum and minimum temperature will respectively be 102.2 degree Fahrenheit and 78.8 degree Fahrenheit. Rising clouds will bring down prevailing day-time temperature by one to two degree.

Birds Adapt by Lowering Output
However, this transit change will not bring much benefit to poultry. Under the summer management, birds try to adapt to the hot climate through lowering egg production and egg weight. Low egg production at lower feed intake will curtail production cost.
