The Indian Poultry Equipment Manufacturers Association (IPEMA) – Poultry India celebrated International Women's Day in Hyderabad, highlighting the growing role of women in leadership, entrepreneurship, and participation in the poultry sector and allied industries.

The celebration brought together distinguished guests, members of the poultry fraternity, and IPEMA staff to recognise and encourage the contributions of women who are driving progress in the industry and strengthening communities through enterprise and leadership.

The event was attended by special guests who each shared insights on women's empowerment, leadership, health, and the importance of nutrition in building a healthier society. The distinguished guests also had an online interaction with rural women entrepreneurs from the Kesla Poultry Society, learning about their inspiring journey in community-led poultry development.

Speaking on the occasion, Uday Singh Bayas, President of IPEMA – Poultry India, along with M. Srikanth, Treasurer of IPEMA, highlighted the expanding role of women in the poultry ecosystem—from entrepreneurship and farm management to allied services and community development. He said empowering women in the sector not only strengthens families and rural livelihoods but also contributes significantly to nation-building.

Outreach Programme

Inspiring journeys of women leaders.

As part of the celebrations, IPEMA – Poultry India initiated an outreach programme to highlight the inspiring journeys of women leaders and family members from the poultry community, capturing their experiences and perspectives on women's empowerment.

The event concluded with a collective message to continue supporting women leadership and entrepreneurship in the poultry industry and to inspire the next generation of women professionals and entrepreneurs, under the guidance of the distinguished guests present.

Inspiring the next generation of women professionals.

IPEMA continues to promote industry growth, innovation, and inclusive participation. The 18th edition of the Poultry India Expo 2026 will be held in Hyderabad — Knowledge Day on November 24, 2026, followed by the Expo from November 25–27, 2026.
