Under Mera Gavun Mera Gaurav (MGMG) initiative, the Center for Research on Poultry (CRP) partnered with KVK-Ganderbal to organise a two-day training program and scientist-farmer interaction event. The program, titled "Profitable Backyard Poultry Farming for Socioeconomic upliftment of Rural Farmers", concluded at the CRP training hall.

Reach & Participants

Participants included farmers from Chaterhama, Shalimar, Buserbugh, Warpoh, and surrounding villages. Three senior scientists led the interaction sessions, focusing on scientific poultry farming practices and approaches.

Scientist Voices

Dr. A.A. Khan addressed farmers during the session, while Dr. P.A. Reshi emphasised the importance of backyard poultry farming specifically for economically and socially disadvantaged agricultural communities.
